Everyone doing research on Deborah for all these years should definitely read the below e-mails.  I am pleased that Joe ( a direct descendant of Deborah through one of her daughters) found this website and is sharing the information that we have been trying to unravel.  This may get us past the  "brickwall"  in our Elmore family history.  Thank you Joseph Lutes!

My name is Joe Lutes and I saw your website about the Elmore genealogy.   I am a descendant from a Elizabeth Elmore that was a daughter of your Deborah. She married Thomas L. Warren and they are living very near the Deborah Elmore family in the 1850 Camden County census.   I also have a picture believed to be her (Elizabeth) taken around 1870 as she died in 1872.   I have her birth, marriage and death date as well as that for her husband, but I do not have an exact birthplace other than Tennessee.   One of her granddaughters wrote some info down for the family.   Also, there is a Camelia that married Joe Bolinger,  they are living very near Deborah's family in the 1850 census.   If you can provide anymore info just email me.   Joe

I emailed you all a couple of days of ago with no response.

I think the information that I have is of importance regarding the
Elmore family.  I received information from a family member that was
written by Sarah Warren, granddaughter of Elizabeth Elmore.   Elizabeth Elmore
was daughter of Deborah
.  Sarah Warren wrote that Elizabeth Elmore had two
brothers Clint and John as well as two sisters Camelia who married
Joe Bolinger and Livinia who married John Appleton.

I looked at the 1870 Camden County Missouri census and Camelia was born about
1822. I saw on the Elmore family website that you are looking for three girls to fit into the
Reuben H. Elmore Family, Robertson County. Well here they are. Elizabeth Elmore was born
in January of 1831, so she would be the girl that is 5-10. Lavinia Elmore was born about
1828 so she would be the girl that is 10-15. Camelia Elmore was born about 1822, so she
would be the daughter that is 15-20.

Oh also, Thomas Warren and Elizabeth named a son Reuben Henry Warren - it seems that almost
all of Deborah's children names one of their children Reuben.
I am willing to bet that Reuben Elmore is the husband of Deborah.
Also I have a good picture of Elizabeth Elmore Warren that was taken around 1870
with her daughter Ann.
I also have a bad Xerox of Thomas Warren. I also predict that Deborah or
her husband had family living in the area of Camden County because back
then families always moved together - rarely moved by themselves.

Thanks Joe

The birth date of Elizabeth Elmore is Jan. 8,1831 born in
Tennessee, and she died on Oct 25, 1872 in Camden
County, Missouri.  She married Thomas Langford Warren on Dec, 26, 1849 in Camden County, Missouri. He was born on Mar 10, 1828 in Monroe County, Kentucky and died on Mar 13, 1896 in Camden County, Missouri.
They had a good number of children.  Assuming that Reuben H. Elmore is Deborah's husband, which seems almost certain now.  I have done some research at the local historical society and found a George Elmore listed
in the 1820 Robertson County TN census, who seems as though he would be the only candidate in Robertson
County for the father of Reuben.  George Elmore has a
number of sons and daughters. Several of the sons
listed are between the ages of 10-18, all of which
could be Reuben.  Also, there is no other Elmore in Robertson County, that has sons that are old enough
to be Reuben in the 1820 census.  In addition, This
George Elmore is the son of Travis Elmore of 1746.
Please tell me what you think so far. Thanks Joe

Webmaster's note:  Click here to see this George R. Elmore's  middle initial was R.
Could this stand for Reuben?

Oh I almost forgot, George Elmore in 1820 also had a
son that was between the age of 18 and 26, which could
be Reuben.  When I looked at the will of Travis it
listed George first, usually the oldest son was listed
first when listing children in a will, but not always.
Also, many people put Travis's birth date as about 1747
and then listed his first child as being born in
1779 - that means he would have been about 32 years old
when his first child was born.  I am willing to bet
that he had children prior to 1779 such as George.
George is listed as over 45 years in the 1820 census,
so his birth date would have to be before 1775.  I
believe that George was not much more than forty five
years old in the 1820 census and that he was the first
born of Travis Elmore. That would mean Ann Hibdon and
George were brother and sister, so Reuben was a
nephew of Ann and Peter.  Thanks Joe

P.S. At ancestry.com Travis's oldest
daughter is listed as born in 1775 not 1779, but I
still believe that George was probably the oldest
child.
Hey here is the picture of Elizabeth Elmore (see below)- sorry no picture of Deborah.   In regards to George being the father of Reuben - it seems very likely, but on the other hand where did Reuben Harrison Clinton come
from
- I would definitely say these are somehow family or otherwise significant names.  Maybe they are from
Deborah's side of the family.  Have you tried to see if there is a marriage license in Robertson County for
around 1820 for Reuben?   Thanks Joe

Webmaster's note:  I think that Reuben H. Elmore's middle name might have been Harrison.  If that is true, where did Clinton come from????
